Joint Statement of CRII and Chicago Booth
Confederation of Retail Industries of India (CRII) and University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Chicago Booth) are pleased to enter into this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the guidelines for activities they may jointly conduct in the future.
Background
CRII is one of the leading not-for-profit confederations in India assisting the coordination of public-private-government initiatives. CRII has notable alliances with leading organisations across the world. Chicago Booth is one of the leading business schools in the world offering degree programs in areas related to business and finance across three continents. The MoU between CRII and Chicago Booth is expected to be mutually beneficial for both the institutions, to academia, industry and civil society in general, leading to the creation of significant knowledge, research and intellectual output.
Purpose
CRII and Chicago Booth hereby agree to contribute in the following possible areas:
- Coordinating and conducting joint research projects under the guidance of leading Chicago Booth faculties and CRII personnel.
- Coordinating and conducting joint hallmark events – seminars, conferences, symposiums, speeches, award events, counseling sessions for prospective students, and any other such events as may be agreed upon subsequently.
- Exploring the creation of intellectual properties in the areas of joint collaboration.
- Inviting third parties, as mutually and jointly agreed upon from time to time, to become partners with CRII-Chicago Booth in their joint initiatives.
- Exploring the possibilities of procuring sponsorship and other support from such third parties as may be jointly agreed upon for the said joint initiatives.
- Exploring the possibilities of expanding or modifying the scope of this MoU whenever mutually and jointly agreed upon in the future.
